Always enjoy the layback vibes of Dallas farmers market. The restaurant is inside “the market” and they have a good selections of oysters! The portion and quality of food is average and cost is a little high but that’s everything else at the farmers market. The service here is just average or below. We had to ask them for things and they don’t just come to you and check (not even a thank you either). 🤷♀️
Went early on a Saturday for brunch. We had the Crab Cakes Benedict, Seaside Omelet and Gumbo. Great flavors, lots of crab and filled us up! I can't forget to compliment the wait staff. They were very attentive and kind. We will be back.
We had a light lunch there, but everything I ordered were tasty. The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium, with a crispy exterior and moisture tender interior. The tuna nacho was a pleasant surprise - it has just a right amount of flavor with the help of the sauce which has a tangy flavor, probably mustard. The oyster plate contained a mix of oysters from different origins. I’m guessing this is the premium oyster plate they have? We’re so glad it was happy hour as each oyster was only two dollar. They were well labeled, showing that some of those are sourced from Canada and some US. I think the ones from Blish point Massachusetts tasted the best with it, well-balanced of sweetness and savoriness.
If you're a seafood enthusiast visiting Dallas Farmers Market, Rex’s Seafood is an absolute must-try! 🌊🦀 From the moment I stepped up to their vibrant stall, I was impressed by the array of fresh seafood on display and the impeccable service.
I opted for the Poke Bowl and Crawfish Hush Puppies, and I must say, every bite was a testament to their commitment to quality. The poke was bursting with freshness—fresh tuna, crisp vegetables, and a perfect balance of flavors. The crawfish hush puppies were a delightful twist, crispy on the outside with a savory, tender filling that melted in the mouth.
To complement the meal, I tried their special summer craft cocktail, the Watermelon Splash. Made with tequila, it was exactly what I needed on a warm day—refreshing, with a hint of sweetness from fresh watermelon.
The ambiance at Rex’s Seafood was lively and inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or simply looking for a delicious meal at the market, Rex’s Seafood at Dallas Farmers Market is a top choice. Don't miss out when you visit!
What a great spot for a beautiful lunch. I am not a huge seafood fan but this place might change that for me! My girlfriend and I decided to stop for a taste since the place looked friendly and clean. Very glad we did. We decided to get some oysters which were so fresh and also gator bites as an appetizer. The gator was cooked perfectly. The added lemon on the batter took it to another level. Nice and crispy. I decided to try the Lobster Roll New England Style(the best way) and my girlfriend got the fish and chips. The lobster roll was delectable. The roll was warm and fresh and the lobster salad was amazing. The fish and chips were so crispy and delicious. We definitely recommend all dishes. We definitely will be coming back!
